Get ready to take your basketball skills to the next level this summer! Join us for a comprehensive 6-week training program designed to elevate your game and prepare you for the upcoming season. Held in the downstairs gym of the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School (Lower School), our camp offers expert instruction in a focused and competitive environment, helping you reach your full potential on the court.

  • Dates: June 23rd - August 8th
  • Time: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Monday - Thursday
  • Duration: 6 Weeks (you can purchase individual weeks)

Curriculum

Our intensive program covers all aspects of the game, providing a well-rounded approach to player development:

  • Shooting:  From fundamental form work to advanced shooting drills, we'll help you perfect your technique, improve your accuracy from all areas of the court, and expand your shooting range.  We'll cover various shot types, including jump shots, layups, and free throws, and teach you how to create scoring opportunities.
  • Dribbling: Master essential ball handling techniques, develop exceptional control, and learn to navigate defensive pressure with confidence.  We'll focus on drills that enhance ball security, improve your crossover, and enable you to attack the basket effectively.
  • Conditioning: Enhance your stamina, endurance, and overall fitness for peak performance. Our conditioning program is designed specifically for basketball, focusing on agility, speed, and explosive movements crucial for success on the court.  Prepare to improve your ability to run the floor, maintain intensity throughout the game, and recover quickly.
  • Agility & Footwork: Improve your speed, quickness, and balance for explosive movements on the court.  We'll work on footwork drills that enhance your ability to change direction, create space, and defend effectively.  Develop the agility necessary to drive to the basket, cut to the open spot, and stay in front of your opponent.

Competitive Edge

Beyond skill development, our camp emphasizes game application through competitive drills and scrimmages. These sessions will put your skills to the test, simulating real game situations and fostering teamwork.  Learn to make smart decisions under pressure, develop a winning mentality, and understand the importance of communication and collaboration on the court.  Our coaches will provide feedback and guidance to help you translate your improved skills into game success.
